Reaction to Geno's solo appearance 5/25/11 at Harold's House Party Radio Show at the 331 Club, Mpls.
"Twin Cities singer/songwriter Gene LaFond ... is a versatile journeyman who writes honest, compassionate and appealing songs that can be refreshingly offbeat (the country-folk fantasy 'Thank You Emmylou') or even positively Dylanesque (the 9/11 blues shuffle 'It's Gonna Rain')."
Jon Bream, Mpls Star Tribune 10/24/02.
"The musical variety of Gene LaFond and his band is spectacular ... a cross between the classics like Bob Dylan, John Prine and New Wave.
The variety of songs moves your dance bones and touches your heart. 'The Wild Unknown' is an excellent blend of lyrics and music for total listening pleasure."
Kaylene Prather, Birmingham, Alabama
